Gordon & Joe – Assembly Rooms

Gordon Aikman & Joe Pike were married at a ceremony held in the Edinburgh Assembly Rooms on Saturday 28th March 2015.

Gordon, a campaigner for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), was diagnosed with the condition in 2014 and is fighting to raise awareness of MND and for better care for MND patients and is campaigning to increase government funding for research into finding a cure for this condition.

Motor Neurone Disease is a disease which attacks the brain and spinal cord. Around half of sufferers die within 14 months of being diagnosed.

Gordon’s plight has reached many people from different walks of like and the couple received messages of congratulations from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and comedian Frankie Boyle. Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross performed at the couple’s wedding reception.

We were delighted to provide flower arrangements for Gordon & Joe’s ceremony and reception in the Ballroom at the Assembly Rooms.

Message received via email on behalf of Gordon & Joe.

I wanted to email and say a huge thank you!

The flowers were absolutely stunning and made a wonderful event, absolutely beautiful. Gordon loved them and people even requested to take the table centres home!

Thank you again.
