Wedding of Lizzie Kaye & Ross Moffat at Edinburgh Castle on 28 March 2015 – Part 1.
Part 2 of this post with fantastic images from Lizzie & Ross's wedding photographer Photos by Zoe - can be viewed here - Lizzie & Ross.
Lizzie & Ross chose the romantic setting of Edinburgh Castle and the Queen Anne building for their wedding venue. The ceremony aisle in the Queen Anne building, located in the heart of the castle was decorated with vases filled with water, topped with a large floating candle and a single orchid head inside. Two tall pedestal arrangements adorned the signing table area.
Bridal Flowers: Lizzie held a hand tie of blossom, roses and phalaenopsis orchids in shades of white & ivory. Lizzie’s bridesmaids (2) held hand ties of white/ivory blossom and stock. The flowergirl held a closed basket (for a windy day) of white & ivory rose petals.
Tablecentres: the dinner reception was also held in the Queen Anne. The guest tablecentres were a tall flute vase topped with a lush arrangement of white hydrangea and ivory roses with natural willow and blossom protruding from the top. Hanging globe tealights were also added.
The courtyard area was decorated with lots of vases of flowers and candles.
A selection of our own images are shown below …….. We’ve rarely seen the Queen Anne look so beautiful!
